We do announce that on 18 June 2020, another meeting of the Presidium of KIP PAN took place, in the remote mode. As before, we were hosted by the Poznań University of Technology, and personally by dr. hab. inż. Ewa Dostatni.   The agenda of the meeting covered several significant issues arising from the work program adopted. The following, significant agreements were reached:

  1. Prof. D. Sc. Eng. Krzysztof Santarek and D. Sc. Eng. Katarzyna Halicka, in cooperation with other members of the Presidium, will elaborate a presentation on the essence and prospects for the development of production engineering in the context of the discipline of mechanical engineering by the end of October this year. In accordance with the adopted program for activities of our committee, we would come with such a presentation at the November and December meetings of the Mechanical Engineering Discipline Councils at our universities.
  2. D. Sc. Eng. Ewa Dostatni undertook to coordinate the work on the preparation of the expert opinion „Przemysł 4.0 w przedsiębiorstwach przemysłowych – stan obecny i perspektywy rozwoju” [Industry 4.0 in industrial enterprises - current conditions and the prospects for development].
  3. Prof. D. Sc. Eng. Krzysztof Santarek will coordinate the preparation of the expertise entitled „Inżynieria produkcji – stan obecny i główne kierunki rozwoju” [Production engineering - current condition and the main directions of development].

Coordinators of works on the development of expert opinions will initiate work related to the selection of experts, who will become the co-authors of reports. Shall you be interested, please do not hesitate to contact our coordinators.

The Presidium also discussed other matters related to the functioning of our committee, such as the financing of MPER, the spending of funds from the PAN subsidies for the operation of committees (PLN 4,000 for 2020) and other current matters.
